Over the next month, March 4th to April 16th 2017, The Shinagawa Aqua Park will be be capturing the hearts of backpackers and photographers. Make sure to have your camera ready for this experience. From the creative minds within the NAKED company, the whole Shinagawa aquarium underwent a complete Sakra transformation to kick off the spring season. The whole aquarium will be littered with cherry blossom special effects and lights, and of course Japan has the best technology to bring the experience to life.
Immediately after entering the Shinagawa aquarium you’ll see a Sakura snowstorm (Sakura Fubuki), guiding all visitors through a dazing cherry blossom path. The walls of the aquarium is full of both real sakura flowers and projections and pink lights illuminating the place.
Now there is a bar there with alcoholic drinks, and of course without doubt there are limited time sakura-inspired alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. So that’s something to complete the spring Japan backpack experience.
There are dolphin performances throughout the day. At 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:00 PM, you can watch HARU ULALA, which is dolphins performing under natural light synced to the background music.
And at 5:30 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM, there is Sakura Gatari. Notice these performances are during night time, the whole aquarium will be lit with cherry blossoms. Visitors will get the special Sakura lights and performance.
